About Vander Labs
A library of AI skills made by people, so the assistant you already use can work the way an expert would.
What we are building
AI assistants are capable and fast, and they know a little about almost everything. What they lack is the judgment that comes from doing one thing many times: knowing what to ask first, which defaults are safe, where the common mistakes hide, and what a finished piece of work looks like. That judgment lives in people.
Vander Labs is a place where those people write it down in a form an AI can follow, and where anyone can connect that knowledge to their own assistant in a few minutes. Members get better results from the tools they already pay for. Creators get paid by the people who use their expertise, month after month.
How we think about it
- People first. Every skill is written and signed by a person. We review each one before it is published. We do not generate skills and pass them off as human work.
- Open format. Skills are plain
SKILL.mdfiles, and the connection uses the Model Context Protocol, an open standard. We want skills to work wherever you work, and we do not want to lock anyone in. - Honest economics. Members pay a subscription. Most of it goes to creators, split by what each member actually used. No ads, no selling data, no pay-to-rank.
- Privacy by design. The connector tells us which skill was loaded, when, and by which AI client. It never tells us what you were talking about.
Who runs it
Vander Labs is built and run by REN16, a software company that designs, builds and runs its own products. More about REN16 at ren16.com. The site lives at https://vanderlabs.ren16.com. Data is stored on Supabase (hosted in Singapore) and the site is served from Hostinger.
Where we are
Vander Labs is in preview. The library, the connector and the creator studio work. Payments are not live yet; the Pro plan and its price are provisional, and you can join the waitlist on the pricing page. The launch catalog was written by the Vander Labs house account to set the bar for what a skill should look like; the library grows as creators publish.
